The Scottish Government has announced today that Scotland will move to the second stage of the Coronavirus lockdown exit plan, which means a relaxation on restrictions on house moves from Monday 29 June 2020.
In a phased move to Phase Two, Nicola Sturgeon said to the Scottish Parliament that the measures restart the economy and lay the groundwork for further changes to come.
Estate Agents in Scotland should continue to prepare their businesses to reopen – looking at staffing and implementing social distancing measures in their offices.
This isn’t quite what we, and the property industry in general, expected from today’s announcement as it was widely anticipated that the relaxation measures would start from 19th June.
We are expecting revised guidance on moving home to be released and as soon as we have any further information we will share this.
In the meantime, please continue to get in touch with your local Scottish Property Centre if you require a valuation of your property, would like to virtually view any of our properties or just need some general advice.
At Scottish Property Centre we will be ready to go thoughtfully and steadily because we’ve been preparing for this moment for weeks.
We have Personal Protective Equipment, we have stocked up on sanitisers, social distancing signs and prepared our Be Clean Be Safe protocols and policies.
We look forward to start serving our clients safely, sensibly, and successfully.
