A great place to learn:
Shawlands is home to Shawlands Primary School and Shawlands Academy. There is also Langside Primary, located on Tantallon Road, and the independent Hutchesons’ Grammar School.
For younger children, there are several nurseries, including the Pied Piper Nursery, Deanpark Nursery, Hickory Dickory House and Carmichael Nursery School.

Shawlands has a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops. If you are looking for the great outdoors, the surrounding area has some fantastic parks and leisure facilities, including Queen’s Park, Pollok Country Park, Nether Pollok Playing Fields and Norwood Playing Fields.

Favourite Walk: The Dams to Darnley or a walk around Queen’s Park (stopping in at the Church on the Hill for a refreshment!)
